About

Simkung Korean helps English speakers learn the Korean that people
actually say — the phrases you hear in dramas, in cafes, and between friends.

What We Publish

Each article covers a single Korean expression in depth: what it means, how the
meaning shifts with tone and situation, how polite and casual forms differ, and
the mistakes learners commonly make. Every article includes real example
sentences, a short dialogue, and a video with native pronunciation.

Why One Phrase at a Time

Long vocabulary lists are easy to read and hard to remember. We would rather
you finish an article able to actually use one expression than skim thirty you
will forget. Each piece is written to be read in a few minutes and applied the
same day.

Who Writes This

Content is prepared by a native Korean speaker and reviewed before publishing.
Explanations describe how the language is used in practice, not textbook rules
alone.

Watch and Listen

Every expression also becomes a short video so you can hear the pronunciation
and intonation, which often carry more meaning than the words themselves.
